Yes, all changes to business data (e.g. Documents, CAPAs, NCMRs) and administrative data (e.g. configuration settings, departments, users) are tracked in audit trail records that reside in the Grand Avenue system database. Grand Avenue also logs all security events (e.g. authentication attempts, password change attempts) in the Grand Avenue database.
Changes to Data
The audit trail for many items is exposed to users through “View Audit Trail” links. Audit trail records include the action performed, the timestamp of when the action was performed, a snapshot of the data before and after the change, and the user ID of the user who made the change.
Changes to Configuration Settings
The audit trail for configuration settings is not directly exposed through links in the user interface. The records are accessible only with assistance from Grand Avenue Customer Support.
Security Events
System administrators are authorized to search for security events, which are recorded in the Grand Avenue database for every attempt to authenticate or change passwords. To find these records, click the “Search for Security Events” link in the left-hand navigation bar.
Contact support@grandavenue.com for assistance in obtaining audit trail information for a specific item or configuration setting.
