The user account with a User ID of "Administrator" is the default (“bootstrap”) user account created when installing Grand Avenue . The purpose of the account is to provide a way to assign the System Administrator role to additional user accounts. Apart from being assigned the System Administrator role, there are no special privileges associated with the Administrator accountis initially installed (before other user accounts are created). The account itself has no special permissions other than that it can't be deactivated; other users assigned the System Administrator role have exactly the same permissions.

Hosted Grand Avenue Installations

For installations hosted by Grand Avenue, use of the The Administrator account is reserved exclusively for Grand Avenue customer support as an aid in answering support questions and to perform administrative functions with respect to installation, upgrade and maintenance.

If hosted customers have associated any of the following with the Administrator account, they need to be removed.

use by GAS customer support personnel for performing maintenance on hosted systems (e.g. verifying upgrades, running reports, etc.), and shouldn't be used for any other purpose, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assigning additional roles and responsibilities

  • Assign Assigning tasks

  • Assign Assigning training requirements

  • Change Changing the password
